The partnership between BWI and BRAC-Liberia signifies a significant step towards empowering young women through skills training programs. On Tuesday, January 9, 2024, this collaboration launched a skills training program aimed at benefiting 159 young women. The program focuses on providing training in various fields such as pastry making, head dressing, and other vocational skills.

Expanding on this initiative, the joint effort aims to address gender disparities by equipping young women with practical skills that are in demand in the job market. Through training in areas like pastry making and head dressing, participants gain valuable expertise that can lead to employment opportunities or entrepreneurial ventures.

Led by the Booker Washington Institute, this initiative promises to make a positive impact on the lives of young women by providing them with the necessary tools and knowledge to succeed in their chosen fields. By offering skill-building opportunities, BWI and BRAC-Liberia demonstrate their commitment to promoting gender equality and empowering youth through education and vocational training.
